Weeks before Christmas, usually the day after
Thanksgiving families put up lights and decorations outside
of their houses and set up their christmas trees.
Stockings are put out for Santa to leave small gifts like fruit
and candy.
On Christmas day, the families gather around
the tree to open their presents.
Many families go to church. And after church there is a big
dinner - which may be turkey or goose or ham or beef. People
like to drink egg nog and cider on Christmas day.
The children play with their new toys and enjoy themselves
